We have been home for about a week. Part of us is still in Peru. There were many highlights, so many that it is difficult to tell people what we enjoyed most since we have so many wonderful memories. You made our visit the excellent experience that we hope we would cherish. Your professionalism, organization, friendliness and knowledge made our journey a unique, enjoyable and safe adventure. We hope that we can encourage some of our friends to travel with you in the future. I am still sorting through the hundreds of photos we have. We just returned yesterday from Peru, and met a wonderful guide and his driver who had a van. Our guides name is Yure Chavez, and he is fluent in English, very educated (college degree earned in Cusco). His driver Freddie spoke some English as well. Everything went like clockwork. Both Yure and his driver Freddie are very personable, knowledgeable and professional. We hired a private guide from Cusco - Yure Chavez / yure_c@yahoo.com . His knowledge was at times overwhelming. He made sure we knew the history and culture of everything we were seeing. Pointed out all the flora and fauna. (He was a farmer's son and has a genuine love for the land). He's great for photography tours also. His English is VERY good! He also took us to an orphanage to drop off books and toys for the kids. I was a little teary eyed (as was my husband) leaving there.
